Recently, viruses have rised in a lot numbers of variant. Appearing in a new form and ability, however a virus is still a virus. It leaves the identity as a virus. For Windows 98/2000/XP we can recognize the existence of the viruses at several places. Those places are:
- Windows Task Manager. This could be an early detection of the viruses. Pushing the Ctrl+Alt+Del we are having Windows Task Manager >> Processes. And then, find files with akward name (you surely have to be familiar with general aplication that exist in Windows to avoid mis-clicking). When the viruses have been found, right-click on the mouse and End Processes. There are several cases when the aplications cannot be executed. But we can handle it through the save mode using little free software from our uncle google.com.
- Msconfig. Some viruses using this area to load themselves when windows restart. Therefore, when we have terminated those viruses (uncompletely), it won’t delete the tick mark of startup items in Msconfig>>startup. So, those viruses will create the missing parts when restart. We can delete the tick mark of startup items in Msconfig>>startup with typing Regedit at START>>RUN.
- Regedit. The place where viruses put the identity in. By typing Regedit in START>>RUN then click Edit>>Find, type the keyword or the virus name. When we have found one/s, we can directly delete it/them.
Goodluck………
